Bob Bland (joined the club in June) and I had the good fortune to get into some fish that evening. We fished the lake across from Rarity Bay at about mile marker 16 and fished that side and used the trolling motor to push us south. I am used to fishing structure that I can see, lay downs, rocks, overhangs, stumps and shade. So, I started the same way. I was throwing either a Bandit 300 or a Bill Norman Deep Diver 14, either one is capable to get down to about 12 feet. It had a light blue back w silver glitter, white side and under side with a red streak on the belly. We were both throwing toward the strucrure, but the fish we started to catch were about 20' out from the cover in about 15'. I also noticed as we got farther out from shore and was not able to reach the cover, the fish that we caught were  larger. All told we hung 9 fish, boated 8, Bob lost a nice one on a jump. Hope this sharing helps.

We moved the launch time back to 6:00PM which seemed to work better in that it gave the afternoon showers a chance to pass through and leave us with a nice evening to fish.  We had a good turnout with 8 boats showing up, including several of our new members to the Club.  Success ranged from "not so good" (meaning a blank) to as much as 79 inches of fish (congrats Ed Ziobro).  The "beer meister", Paul Deutch, was ever present taking our dollar bills as we quenched our thirst after returning to the ramp around 9:00PM  Tongue
